Toss a coin

One of you taps “Toss the coin”. It lands the same way on both phones and chooses who leads the search.

Find a place in your city

The lead partner fills in the city, kind of evening, budget for two and a few words, then taps “Find a date”. Every field is optional. DateShip picks a surprise idea from its catalogue and finds a real place, with its name, address, hours, price and links to maps and its website. You both tap “Take it”, and the date begins.

Keep a little secret

Each partner gets their own secret mission. The rest unfolds on your date.

A PLACE FOR YOUR DATE

Facts, checked

Your place card shows confirmed facts: its name, address, opening hours and price. If a price cannot be confirmed, it says “price not confirmed” and shows no amount. Unconfirmed hours are marked too, with no hours shown. The card shows when the facts were last checked.

Your plans, your choice

The place fits the idea, but it is a suggestion. Go somewhere you like better; the date stays the same.

The card opens Apple Maps or Google Maps and the place’s website, if it has one. Classes, workshops and events are suggested only with a venue website where you can sign up.

With or without a city

Leave the city blank for a date that needs no venue: something at home, a picnic or something to make together.

The app may ask for one-time access to device location only to suggest a city in the search form. Coordinates stay on your phone and are never sent to us or to third parties; only the city name is sent.

Your currency and search limits

If the place lists a price in another currency, an approximate amount in your budget’s currency is shown alongside it.

You can run five searches in one session, then choose from the five results. Each pair gets twenty date ideas a month. When they run out, the app lets you know and waits until the next month.

Request account deletion

What happens when I leave a pair?

The shared album, photos, memories, active date and pair progress are deleted for both partners. The action cannot be undone. A new pair starts from scratch.

What happens when I delete my account?

Account deletion also ends your pair and deletes its shared content for both partners. Your account, sign-in methods and sessions are removed from the active system. Contact support if you need help.

Is DateShip free?

The first version is free, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions or advertising. DateShip is intended for people aged 16 and over.

Will my partner see my mission?

No. Missions are secret: each of you sees only your own, and the app never shows it to anyone. Tell each other afterwards if you like.

We didn’t get to our date — does it expire?

No. A date never expires; it waits for you.

What happens to our photos and level if we split up?

Everything shared disappears for both of you at once: dates, photos, the album, your level and experience. It cannot be restored, and nothing carries into a new couple.

Who can see our photos?

Only the two of you. You can save a photo to your own gallery, but inside the app nobody else ever sees it, and if the couple ends or an account is deleted it is gone for good, for both of you.

If I change phones or reinstall, do we lose everything?

No. Your couple, album and level live on your account. Sign in the same way on the new device and it’s all there.

Do you book a table or tickets for us?

No. The app finds and checks a place and gives you the links; booking, paying and choosing the time are yours. There are no payments inside the app.

Does the app track where we are?

No. It may ask once for your location, only to suggest your city in the search form. Coordinates never leave your phone; only the city name is sent.

What if the place doesn’t suit us?

Go somewhere you like better. The place is a suggestion for the idea, not a rule; the date and the missions stay the same.
